Imposter Syndrome

Have you ever had feelings of doubting your abilities and feeling like a fraud? Or have you ever asked yourself “What am I doing here?” thinking “I don’t belong here.” Did you know that there is a term for that?

Imposter Syndrome, also known as the Imposter Phenomenon, was a coin termed in 1978 that describes the feelings of self-doubt, uncertainty about your talents and abilities, and a sense of unworthiness that doesn’t align with what others think about you.

Some people experience Imposter Syndrome and some don’t. If you do, acknowledge these feelings, build connections with a network of uplifting peers, challenge your doubts, avoid comparing yourself to others, and recognize that success does not require perfection. You belong here!
