Jobs & Internships
Now that you are in your second semester at TXST, you should start looking at jobs or internship opportunities for the summer and/or fall semester.
Internships can help develop your professional skills, network, strengthen personal character, and can provide other opportunities such as future references and employment.
You should visit Career Services to help you find an internship or employment related to your major and career aspirations. Additionally, a career counselor can review your resume, give you interviewing tips, and offer additional resources for internships or employment opportunities.
Career Services also hosts on and off-campus job fairs for students if you are seeking a job. There are many benefits of an on-campus job such as increasing your knowledge about Texas State and developing a community that can enrich your experience on campus.
Career Services also uses Handshake to promote internships with businesses that work directly with the University to offer Texas State student internships.
Pro Tip: Handshake is a website that lists on-campus jobs. Scan now to view and apply for jobs.
