Workplace Etiquette

If you are planning to work in the summer be sure to gauge how you fit into your work environment.

What are the norms and expectations for your summer gig? Be sure you are always on time, completing tasks, being a team player, embracing differences, and meeting workload expectations. If you aren’t sure of something, be sure to ask for help. Summer employment, while you are in college, could lead to future references and employment opportunities once you graduate. It’s important to have a strong work ethic and be a good example to your colleagues. You represent yourself, your family, and Texas State.

Pro Tip: Update your resume frequently as you learn new skill sets or gain new experiences.
