Experience the Library

Here’s a checklist to get you started on making the most of the libraries at TXST. More information about how to do all of this and more can be found on the US 1100 Library Guide.

• Visit the library! This can be at one of our physical libraries such as Alkek library on the San Marcos campus, or using our library website to access library materials and services. 
• Check out materials. The library has more than just physical books! You can access ebooks, movies, games, and more. Interlibrary loan even lets you request materials we don’t have. 
• Schedule a research consultation. Whether it’s an appointment with a librarian, dropping in with a peer research coach, or through the online research tutorials, research help is here. 
• Log into the computers. Computers and printers are available in Alkek, the Round Rock library, and even across campus at various Tech Spots. 
• Go to an event. Options include therapy dogs to destress, Long Night Against Procrastination for focused study time, workshops to learn something new, and more.
