Language Family: Afro-Asiatic phylum (West-Chadic branch: A. A3)
Geographical Location:  Primary location: Jos plateau (Plateau State). East Central Nigeria. specifically, Mangu and Barakin-Ladi, Local Government Areas (Counties). Concentration: Towns of Mangu & Panyam
Estimated population:  Mwaghavul is the mother tongue of about 175,000 and 295, 000 people in Nigeria.
